E21-A Shift crew and B-Shift Friend

The four of us pictured, my A-shift E21 crew; Engineer Rick on the right and Third Man Travis center, Paramedic Aaron, B-shift M21 spying on us in the background, and myself, will leave Sept 2nd for a cross country motorcycle ride with other members of the IAFF Motorcycle Group from our district. An estimated four thousand IAFF-MG members from around the U.S. and Canada are expected to ride in and pay tribute to the 343 Firefighters who lost their lives in the World Trade Center.
Along the way we will make stops to remember the others who lost their lives that day 10 years ago, not only in the WTC, but in Shanksville Pa, where flight 93 went down, and the Pentagon.
The ride will take one week, arriving in Newburgh NY Sept 9th.
We will attempt to update the blog daily with pictures and stories of what we see and things we do along the way.
Thanks for looking,
Greg, Capt West Pierce Fire & Rescue, E21.

Safe Ride, May the road rise up to meet you.
May the wind always be at your back.
May the sun shine warm upon your faces!
