Day one started at the Tacoma Fallen Firefighter Memorial on Ruston Way.
TFD had a ladder truck flying a flag over the gathering area where riders, friends and family mingled.
The Kent Fire Chaplain blessed the riders and a ceremonial dipping of the tire was done.
The pictures show the send off gathering and the destination gathering, where the Coeur d'Alene Firefighters Local hosted a bbq, many thanks to them.
One particular picture of note is of Travis kneeling by the Fallen firefighters wall, next to the name of his uncle, Dale Jones, who died in a fire, February 25th, 1974
We covered 325 miles today. Up early tomorrow as we have over 500 to ride to Billings Montana and lose an hour on the way.
